While visiting the general store in St. Elmo, take a look up at the old hotel – a woman in a white dress has been spotted in its windows. When mining failures saw the decline of St. Elmo in the early 1900s, the Stark family, owners of the store and hotel, were among the only residents to stay. Locals believe the ghostly figure is the spirit of Annabelle Stark, watching over the abandoned town to this day! Since Annabelle’s death in 1960, the hotel has seen many strange occurrences.

Your hunt for ghosts doesn’t have to end in town. Stay in St. Elmo and you’ll have direct access to the Poplar Gulch Trail. Hike to the lost cabins of Gulch Trail – abandoned cabin homes that remain partially in tact. If you’d rather ride than hike, rent a Jeep or ATV for your
journey up the mountains

He was prone to the complex and innovative stylistic European "Art Nouveau" movement; so he decided to surround the building with a cordon of frescoes representing winged horses, visible in part up to now. To its realization the architect decided to involve the Art Deco decorator Duilio Cambellotti, who boasts some effigies among his most important works on the "Altare della Patria" in Piazza Venezia and the large windows in the Casina delle Civette in Villa Torlonia in Rome.

Suite Oriani is a historical residence, recently restored, immersed in the Parioli stillness and greenness.
